Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Reliance First Capital was founded with the purpose of helping both existing and prospective homeowners receive the right mortgage. In an effort to support our rapid growth, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for our Corporate Headquarters in Melville, NY.  

 

The AP Specialist will support the Accounting department by assisting with the processing of the Company’s accounts payables.  Additionally, they will provide support to the corporate payroll function.

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Reviews invoices for properly authorized approval and correctness of GL codification

• Investigates past due invoices

• Prepare invoices for data entry

• Process invoices through the Accounts payable system

• Arrange for checks to be produced

• Assist in maintaining the AP filing system

• Handle phone calls from vendors or employees, checking the status of the invoices

• Performs additional duties of the Accounting department as directed by management including processing the company’s multi state payroll

• Assist with monthly reconciliations and journal entries

Requirements:

​

• Must have at least an Associate’s Degree or equivalent level of experience

• At least three years’ experience in AP is required.

• Knowledge of MS Excel and data entry skills

• Must possess analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Maintain confidentiality

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to research issues and implement solutions with minimal supervision

• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task

• Payroll experience a plus but not required

• Concur experience a plus but not required
